Little Laura Donations
RDA Equipment
Little Laura received a request for equipment to be used at RDA for games. These included: cones, postbox, bean bags, hi-lo pole and rubber base. This will be used at all RDA classes each week and the children really enjoy playing the games whilst benefiting from the horse riding.
Palfrey School Playground Equipment
Little Laura have purchased equipment for the Palfrey School that is used in the playground for outside play. Showing how the children can interact with each other, and share the equipment and gain fresh air and exercise.
Happy Days - Trips
Little Laura donated funds to allow for children to go on educational trips whilst in respite care.
Palfrey School Chicken Coop
Palfrey School approached Little Laura charity and asked for help and funds for a chicken house to have for their children. Palfrey school is a main stream school with a high ratio of special needs children.
The school have eggs that the children hatch each year as part of the curriculum and they wish to keep some to watch and grow, this also has a calming approach to the children. Please see the pictures of the chicken house.

Marshlands Outdoor Classroom Interior
Little Laura wanted to complete the sensory garden and give it an overall completed look so have donated handmade posters and games for the children to enjoy. This is addition to the project. We hope to purchase tables and chairs to match the schools as they have informed us that they have no tables or chairs to spare.
Mud kitchens and Sound Equipment
Little Laura has donated a further 2 mud kitchens. The initial mud kitchen is in the sensory garden at Marshlands School however after seeing this Marshlands requested a small mud kitchen and Walton Hall Academy requested a mud kitchen. These have been donated. In addition to this David Thomas and Brad Mason have designed and built 2 frames with metal bowls to be hit to create sound.
Walton Hall Academy Prizes
Whilst over the past year the projects have been our main priority we have continued with small donations including the prizes for Walton Hall Academy pupils. At the end of each week pupils are awarded for numerous different achievements. Little Laura has provided small gifts such as scented pens or books to give to the children as well as pound coins. Each week 2 children receive a pound coin for hard work. Whilst this seems a small amount (£60 for the year) the children really enjoy earning the money. The school have also said there are other benefits to this such as learning the value of money and being able to choose what they spend their money on themselves.
In addition to this the school required funding for an additional mini bus hire to take them to and from Water World. The trip itself was already funded however the school didn't have means of transporting all the pupils. Little Laura funded this.
Walton Hall Academy required footballs for the pupils to play with on their break. We were able to donate these after reaching out to the local community on Facebook and receiving a donation of 12 footballs.
After discovering that the children loved playing with the footballs so much we decided to purchase large bouncy balls and large beach balls for the children to play with. We have been informed by the school that these are a huge hit and that the pupils love playing with them.

Marshlands Special School Library Chairs
In order to finish the Marshlands Special School Library they are looking to purchase chairs for the pupils to sit on whilst reading the books and using the library. Little Laura has donated to funds to purchase these chairs and we are currently awaiting photos.
Ingestre Defibrillator

The defibrillator is located at Ingestre Stables where RDA takes place. The company who supplied the defibrillator are AED Donate. For more information please see their webpage or their Facebook page.

Christmas biscuits and bubbles to Marshlands Children
Little Laura donated a biscuit and bubbles to each of the Marshlands Special School children to enjoy over the Christmas break. We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
E-reader pens for Walton Hall Academy for Special Needs
Little Laura has donated funds to Walton Hall Academy, a high school for children with special educational needs, for the purchase of 2 E-reader pens. This will allow the children to scan the writing and have it played to them through a head set. This eliminated the need for the child to have a teaching assistant sit with them in exams which can be uncomfortable for the child.
Little Laura Summer 2015 gifts
Little Laura created a small gift for each of the Marshland Special School students to take away and use over the holidays. We hope this has provided some entertainment for the children and that they enjoy colouring the pictures.
Opening of the Marshlands Special School Library
On Wednesday 15th of July we were invited to attend the opening of Marshlands Special Schools' library and to then attend the end of year assembly.
Little Laura has helped fund the library alongside other charities. The library is colourful and we are proud to have contributed to enable them to have this amazing addition to their school.
Having now attended 2 assemblies at the school, it is incredibly obvious why Laura enjoyed working with there so much. The children and staff are incredibly welcoming and there is such as warm environment that we thoroughly enjoy visiting them.
We have posted some pictures below so you can see where the money people have donated to us has been spent.

Benches in Memory of Laura Thomas
Three benches have been purchased by initial donations at the service. These have been donated to Ingestre Stables, where the RDA Ingestre groups attend, Marshlands Special School and Colwich Primary School. These are in loving memory of Laura Thomas and are made from hard wood so should last for many years.
Playground Ship
Little Laura helped raise funds for Marshlands Special School to purchase new playground equipment. The money helped purchase the pirate ship which we are sure the children will thoroughly enjoy playing in.
Easter 2015 gifts for Marshlands Special School
Little Laura donated 3 books to each of the Marshlands classes. These books were written by David Walliams (The Queen's Orang-utan, The Slightly Annoying Elephant and The First Hippo on the Moon). The funds raised from sales of 'The Queen's Orang-utan' will be donated again to Comic Relief.
Alongside this we decided to give a small gift to the children who attend RDA Ingestre on a Monday morning, for them to enjoy over the Easter holiday.
