Lisa Thomas and I visited Walton Hall Academy today to photograph the farm as it is now and to take measurements and build up an initial plan of the starting renovation work.
The school has asked that the first area to be renovated is the duck pond and enclosure. This area desperately needs re-fencing to ensure its safety for the children and also for the ducks, who are being locked into their enclosure early to prevent them being attacked by foxes. The school have asked for pea hens to be purchased and so the area will be split into a third area to allow for them to settle when first purchased. This area will need to be a sealed enclosure with a roof.
Little Laura have purchased 2 new pond pumps using the funds donated by Amazon and have created an Amazon Wish List for direct donations to the farm.
