Today Lisa and I visited the Rugeley Amazon warehouse where we had a guided tour and then gave a presentation to selected staff.
Amazon Rugeley have donated an initial £5,000 and have pledged to continue to fundraise for the remainder of the year. They have also kindly offered their time to help with planning or work on the farm.
We were incredibly grateful for the time they took to show us around and made us feel very welcome. We walked away incredibly motivated after speaking to them and look forward to working with them in the future.
Today we were invited to Nottingham University to the awards ceremony of the Jewsons Trade Hero category. We were in the top 4 for voting and the top 2 on the day.
David Thomas came in second place and won the charity an amazing £10,000 worth of building materials which will go towards renovating the Walton Hall Academy farm.
We were so grateful to Jewsons for putting us in the final and for inviting us to celebrate not only our win but also all the other wins on the day. We personally found incredibly motivating to meet other people working hard to selflessly improve other lives, especially since this was at a time when there was a lot of sad things happening in the world.
We look forward to using this money to create an amazing environment for learning at Walton Hall Academy as well as encouraging the students to learn skills they may use in their careers.

Creative Stage Productions have held a summer pantomimes in the Met at The Gatehouse Theatre in Stafford, the last few years and when they heard about our charity they initially dedicated an evenings production shows donations to the Little Laura charity. Overwhelmed by the generosity of the viewers and their appreciation of the show they continue for a further 4 shows, using collection boxes and collected an amazing £264.23 over all of the 5 shows. This was amazing from just small collection tubs. We thank Scott Bagnall and his cast for their support and generosity.
